Digital Leader Assembly
As part of our celebration of Safer Internet Day, our enthusiastic Digital Leaders organised an engaging and informative assembly for the entire school community, focusing on the theme for this year: "Too Good to Be True? Protecting Yourself and Others from Scams Online."
The Digital Leaders have put in a commendable amount of effort into preparing their presentation. They designed informative slides that included essential information aimed at educating our pupils about the various types of online scams and the importance of safeguarding themselves and their peers. This initiative not only enhances our students' understanding of online safety but also encourages their active participation in cultivating a secure digital environment within our school.
We are pleased to share that the presentation created by our Digital Leaders has been made available for download. Engaging in discussions about the content will reinforce the messages conveyed during the assembly and further enhance their understanding of online safety.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe educational environment, we recommend that parents also consider the following actions:
-
Stay Informed: Familiarise yourself with the different types of online scams and keep yourself updated on emerging threats.
-
Open Communication: Encourage your child to discuss their online activities with you. Open lines of communication foster a sense of trust and ensure they feel comfortable asking questions or expressing concerns.
-
Set Boundaries: Establish clear rules regarding internet usage, including time limits and appropriate content.
-
Encourage Critical Thinking: Teach your child to think critically about information they come across online, particularly when it appears too good to be true.
Thank you for your continued support in promoting a safe and secure online environment for our students.
