Pupils are invited to take part in a sponsored virtual walk to Lapland in the run up to Christmas. The virtual walk will begin from Monday 15th November and
last until Sunday 12th December:
Week 1: Monday 15th November to Sunday 21st November
Week 2: Monday 22nd November to Sunday 28th November
Week 3: Monday 29th November to Sunday 5th December
Week 4: Monday 6th December to Sunday 12th December
The walking distance from Belfast to Lapland is 2,173 miles (which equates to 12.3 miles per pupil)
Not only is this a fundraising opportunity for the school, but it is also an opportunity to motivate the children (and parents!) and get some physical
activity. Exercise may even counter some of the negative effects winter weather can have on our energy levels and mood.

Totals will be added up weekly, and daily mile activities completed in school will be logged by the class teacher. We will report each week how far we are
on the journey.
Will we get to Lapland to meet Santa by Sunday 12th December?
If we complete the journey in time, we hope that Santa will greet us at the end!
Sponsorship forms have been sent home today and should be returned to the school office by Monday 13th December.
