We had a lovely day celebrating World Book Day. We started the day by taking part in a ‘Footy and Booky’ quiz. This was a live quiz from the National Literacy Trust. We were also able to hear from lots of authors and premier league footballers who all shared their love of reading. The boys and girls also designed a book cover and wrote about their favourite book character. We were able to squeeze in some all important reading time. Today marks the start of our sponsored read. P6 have been fantastic ambassadors for the Accelerated reading programme. To date , we have read 6, 349,345 words we aim to increase this by one million words in two weeks! Sponsor sheets will be sent home on Friday 8th March. Parents , as always thank for your support with this.
